E-MAIL POLICY

Because of unusual amounts of pornographic "spam" we have received with return addresses indicating the E-mail Domains belonging to:

genie.com

juno.com

mail.com

mci.net

We have placed a block on e-mail sent to us from anyone using those domains. For the more legitimate users of these agencies we are sorry for the inconvenience this action may cause you.

We suggest you vent your disappointment to the domains involved. Perhaps that may encourage them to take care of the problem.

Until the burden of time spent became too great, for each piece of unwanted E-mail received, we sent the following letter to the postmaster at each of the above named domains:

E-mail sent to Postmaster of the domain

"The person identified as ***** has sent us the attached e-mail. It is unsolicited, unwanted, and objectionable if not illegal. I would request that you to take proper steps to see that this person and the URL they represent be asked to never contact us again for any reason. Clearly this is someone who has no idea of how to behave on the Internet -- we want nothing to do with them.

"Our private e-mail facilities are not a medium for pornographic materials. People who use them as such abuse our resources and waste our time.

"For ISPs who frequently find themselves referenced in bogus return addresses: Parties who claim to be sending mail from your domains when they are in fact not doing so are committing fraud. Spam e-mail typically references telephone numbers, physical addresses or web pages which are not bogus. If someone has used your domain for a bogus return address, please don't tell us about it. We urge you to find the party responsible and prosecute them.

"Because of the unusual number of e-mail messages from this source we are forced to put an e-mail block on your domain. We will put a note on our server to remind our customers that we have done so with the reason why.

This E-mail Policy statement is a fulfillment of that promise.
