Coolstone

Who, of the ADC generation, can forget the classic Interceptor magazine articles written by Roger Crewse about his alter ego Coolstone One. There was never any doubt but what they were nonfictional stories... names were changed only to protect the guilty. Every ADC jock could identify with the situations Coolstone found himself involved in. The life of a single seat fighter pilot in those days (no auto-pilot, and the navigation aids would be considered primitive by today's standards) was interesting. You might enjoy the stories more if you understood the psychological mind set of the fighter pilot. Unfortunately, probably the only people who will truly enjoy these stories are the people who flew the jets during this era. So, here's to us.
